Since she has Type 2 diabetes, we ask them to limit the sweets intake, like pastries and candies. They give the seven food groups every day. I am very pleased with the portion sizes, which are proper for people who are not very physically active, and also with the selection of the food. I stay with her on Sunday evenings, and the people come to change her padding every two hours, and she sleeps very well. We brought her a bed, a recliner chair, and we decorated it with some stuffed animals and family pictures. It has a closet, and we furnished it with items that came from home. My wife is in a shared bedroom with another woman, but she has her own bathroom. We feel that the caregivers per person are of the highest ratio, and they are very kind and lovely people. We feel this offers the best level of treatment, which my wife needs. I visited this facilityĬaring89777850 My daughters and I went around with the nurse and we decided unanimously on Waltham Crossings (The Harbor Program). We got a good report from a current resident. That was part of the reason that we gave it the No.1 place for him to go to. She said she has been there for four or five years and she loves it. She couldn't give it more kudos than anybody. While I was waiting for the person for the tour, there was a person there that I was able to speak with. It was a beautiful and well kept building with a nice layout inside. It would have been an ideal spot if there weren't other issues that disqualified my uncle. They had a lot of room for storage and closet. The rooms were clean, spacious and well kept. The staff members went above and beyond what they needed to do. My uncle's needs exceeded what they were allowed to provide. At one point, my uncle was ready to go when they followed up and had a virtual assessment, but then the rehab center came back with a completely different picture. They have really extended themselves to the limit as far as what condition they would take him in. They went out of their way to deal with the rehab center for my uncle. Mary Benchmark Senior Living at Waltham Crossings is excellent. I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident The place was clean, and they were always working, painting and doing things with it. When people move in, it should be a little bit clearer on what the aides are able to help the people with. They were happy with the food initially, and then I think it started getting a little repetitious maybe. The bathroom was a good size and equipped nicely. The nurses would come in and check on them. They had the dining room, they had aides that would come if she needed help getting her ready for bed and stuff, and they had housekeeping. That's why we were going to have to hire private and that just was going to be too expensive. She would send them away and they weren't able to come back and help her when she needed it. She had some memory loss and she didn't necessarily want the assistance from the aides that were included in her services there. We tried to have her and my dad move into the assisted living together with some assistance, but it just wasn't enough. She had several falls, so she ended up in the hospital, and then from there, she had to go to a nursing home. She just ended up needing more assistance than they were able to provide and we would have had to hire private aides to come in at $40 an hour, which was too much money on top of paying for the assisted living. The staff was very nice, helpful and kind. I visited this facilityÄebbie My mother stayed at Benchmark Senior Living at Waltham Crossings for one month. There were many areas of recreation that were separated, so they didn't interfere with each other. What really made it great was that they were all in different sections. Some people were doing puzzles and playing cards. They had some exercise facilities with exercises going on. Everything was really modern, very cheery, and not depressing at all. The grounds were beautiful, well-kept, maintained, and up to date. It was a place where my mother would really enjoy living in. They were all very knowledgeable and friendly. The cost for what she requires is not what we're looking for. She would not be able to do their activities and would not not use the restaurant-type facilities. The problem that we have is that my mother is in her 90's, and she would not use like 80% of the stuff in the building. Steven We looked at Benchmark Senior Living at Waltham Crossings, and it was very nice.
